Amy is a member of our Business Law Group. She is actively involved with clients who are buying and selling businesses and assists small and medium sized enterprises with start up and organization. Her practice involves advising clients in a variety of industries, including the areas of manufacturing, distribution, healthcare and alternative energy.

Amy leads our franchise team, assisting potential and current franchisors and franchisees. Our franchise team routinely represents franchisors in all aspects of their business, including: franchise structuring and development; compliance with disclosure requirements; drafting franchise agreements; advising foreign franchisors on operating in Ontario; implementing business structures; and negotiating and documenting the purchase and sale of franchised businesses. Amy also assists franchisees with the review and negotiation of disclosure packages and franchise documentation.

Amy has past experience as a summer student at ENMAX Corporation (an energy distribution, supply and service company in Calgary) where she was responsible for various projects in the legal department and gained exposure to alternative energy sources such as wind power and run-of-river projects.
