Focus of Practice
Amy leads our franchise team, assisting potential and current franchisors and franchisees. She is actively involved with clients who are buying and selling businesses, distribution arrangements, commercial relationships, and assists small and medium sized enterprises with start up, organization and various shareholder issues.

- Assisting individuals and corporations in buying or selling businesses;
- Assisting small and medium sized enterprises with start up, organization and various shareholder and partnership issues;
- Assisting potential and current franchisors and franchisees in all aspects of their business, including: franchise structuring and development; review, negotiation and compliance with disclosure requirements; drafting franchise agreements; advising foreign franchisors on operating in Ontario; implementing business structures; and negotiating and documenting the purchase and sale of franchised businesses;
- Negotiating and drafting technology contracts, including software and hardware procurement, development, licensing and partnering arrangements;
- Helping clients create and structure commercial agreements for distribution, joint venture, supply and outsourcing.
