Progressive Discipline and the Key Features of an Effective Progressive Discipline Policy

Q: I am the sole human resource professional of a small non-union manufacturing company and I have an employee who is giving me a headache. Community Initiative

Nahani Way Public School

Gift of Reading Program

Keyser Mason Ball, LLP continues to provide volunteers at Nahani Way Public School twice weekly to sit quietly with Junior Kindergarten children on a one-to-one basis and read books to them. The purpose of this program is to introduce children to books and encourage them to read for pleasure.

Skating Days

On February 22, 24 and 25th Nahani Way Public School held their annual Skating Day at Iceland Mississauga for approximately 100 students each day. Our volunteers attended on each of those days and provided assistance to the children in tying up the many skates and skating with them for the hour on the ice.

Peel Youth Village

Breakfast Program

In February, we commenced our commitment to attending at the Peel Youth Village on

Tuesday mornings to prepare and serve a nutritious breakfast for the children in the community before they board their bus for school.

Homework Club

Our volunteers attend at the Peel Youth Village during afterschool hours to provide assistance to the children with their homework or to simply interact with them.

May 5 Investigating Workplace Complaints - Getting It Right
If you do it wrong, bad things can happen. If you don't do it at all, things can get even more ugly.

Dealing with workplace complaints (including harassment) requires a methodical and reliable process in order to determine the nature of the problem, the prevalence of the problem, the scope of the problem and the perception of both management and employees of the issue. Once harassment or another workplace issue is identified, corrective action should be immediate, accessible to all and maintained vigilantly.
