Selling Your Product Online An important component of promoting your business’s products and services is your online presence. Whether you sell directly to your customers online or if you are simply directing them to your bricks and mortar store, you need to be aware of the nuances of online marketing. Protect Your Brand As The Internet Goes X-Rated ICANN, the non-profit organization that governs the internet, has approved the launch of a new generic top-level domain (“gTLD”) on the internet: “.XXX”. Obviously, this gTLD is geared specifically toward the adult entertainment industry, but brand owners in other industries can (and probably should!) block their online brand from becoming x-rated. What Are Your Obligations To Your Employees On Thanksgiving Day? Thanksgiving is classified as a “Public Holiday” pursuant to the Employment Standards Act, 2000 (“ESA”). This means that employees whose rights are protected under the ESA (federal employees and certain classes of provincial employees are exempted) are entitled to a day off from work on Thanksgiving and public holiday pay for that day. Given the success of our JK Reading Program, our partners at Nahani plan to make the program even better this year so that children who require the greatest language support, receive the greatest attention from our volunteers. No more individual blasts, save for short-turnaround urgent information we feel would really be of benefit to you. Full details can be found here» In turn, Reach! volunteers will be once again supporting Peel Youth Village initiatives, including the Breakfast Program, and the Homework Club. Last season, Reach! volunteers also helped to freshen the look of the Peel Youth Village facilities by painting walls with bright colours chosen by the residents. Such was our painting prowess, that we may even be invited back again this year for more painting. Stay tuned!
