Focus of Practice
Patrizia Piccolo practices in the area of management labour relations and employment law supporting both unionized and non-unionized clients. As one of our senior practitioners with over 14 years experience, Patrizia is routinely involved in assisting clients in the broad spectrum of services provided by our Human Resources Law Group. Additionally, however, she has a particular focus is in the areas of Labour Law, Employment and Human Rights Law regulatory issues; Development of appropriate workplace contracts and policies; Corporate reorganizations and/or restructuring; Workplace Investigations and providing education and training programs for human resource professionals and other management.

Employers of all sizes including:
- Federally and Provincially regulated companies;
- Companies in all types of industries;
- Unionized and non unionized companies;
- Companies operating in the public and private sectors;
- Canadian subsidiaries of companies headquartered internationally; and
- HR consultants.
Engagements Include
- Interacting with Human Resource executives to assist them with workplace law issues they face;
- Working as part of an organizations’ management and decision-making process in planning and project execution day-to-day operational issues where clients lack the internal HR capability;
- Assisting with Human Resources Law element of a corporate transaction and risk assessment and strategies as clients restructure in response to market conditions;
- Assisting during union certification drives, collective agreement negotiations, grievances, arbitrations, and strikes and advising on administration and enforcement of these agreements through grievances and arbitration;
- Advising management on how to maintain a union free environment;
- Conducting workplace investigations;
- Providing customized and group education and training programs for human resource professionals and other management addressing employment law and human rights issues; and
- Support and proactive advice on all aspects of Human Resources management and workplace law
