Walter is a Partner at KMB Law and a member of the firm’s Corporate and Commercial Law practice group.  His practice focuses on the area of Community Law.

Walter advises community organizations, including not-for-profits, social enterprises, associations and other community groups.  His experience in private practice, in-house counsel roles, not-for-profits and a start-up investment firm enables him to employ a multi-layered and practical perspective to crafting client solutions. 

Walter brings legal and practical expertise in governance, compliance and finance transactions that support a variety of community organizations to meet their goals of doing good in the community.  He has extensive experience working with committees, presenting to boards, and establishing compliance process and governance structure.  Walter’s experience in the investment industry also serves his interest in social investments and social finance.

Walter has been a board member and worked for community not-for-profit organizations.  He  recognizes the importance of understanding the purpose and goals of mission-driven organizations when collaboratively advising these clients.
